Design at Riverside – (Preview) Migrating Landscapes Unpacked

June 28, 2013 Posted by Terry Huang Uncategorized

venice layout draft

Canada’s most recent Venice Biennial submission, curated through a collaboration between University of Winnipeg’s Jae-Sung Chon + 5468796 Architecture [Migrating Landscapes Organizers], stands apart from its predecessors in one spectacular way.

When it was selected by Canada Council to represent Canada, there was nothing to exhibit.

Design at Riverside will tell the harrowing tale of crowd-sourcing a Biennale-level exhibition in 17 months. Expect schedules, graphics, to-do lists, sketches and mountains of snapshots.

The grand opening is on July 5, 2013 at 6:30pm.

UPDATE: Opening is at 7:00pm, spread the word.
