PULP: Paper Art Party
EVER PARTIED IN A ROOM MADE OF PAPER?
PULP: paper art party is an Architecture For Humanity Toronto fundraiser designed to examine the current life cycle of paper and investigate alternatives. An art show interactive with music, dancing, play, and conversation inside, under, and on the art, the event will take place April 27, 2013 at Metropolis Factory (50 Edwin Ave., close to Dundas St. West Station).
The environment is important, but PULP isn’t about lectures or presentations – we want people dancing, talking, playing, and creating. Metropolis Factory is an industrial building refurbished into an art gallery, with unique spaces offering potential for great paper and cardboard installations, and a party that is more than just a party.
PULP will showcase the jazz-funk band DMDP, DJ Mo’chi, Marshal Dragun and Ricky Bionix, and DJ Dennis Ramen, as well as our main act – The Lemon Bucket Orkestra, self-declared as Balkan-Klezmer-Gypsy-Party-Punk-Super Band. Expect a wide variety of sounds and styles throughout the night.
Alcoholic beverages will be served at a cash-only bar and Per Se Mobile food truck will serve delicious sandwiches at the parking lot outside.
Tickets online are $15 and $20 at the door. This event is created by the hard work of volunteers and all proceeds go to Architecture For Humanity Toronto and PULP future projects.
