Please join members of the Architecture Community Garden for two events this week:

Summer Solstice Picnic

Friday, June 21 at 5:30 pm | Meet at the Garden

Please join us as we celebrate landscape, community, and local food production, beginning with a tour of the Architecture Community Garden. From there we will walk or bike along the Grand Trunk Trail to the Springbank Community Gardens at rare Charitable Research Reserve (681 Blair Road). Please bring food and your own utensils for an informal picnic potluck. Beverages and snacks will be provided.

“Global Gardener: Permaculture with Bill Mollison” Film Screening

Thursday, June 20 at 7 pm | Lecture Hall

“Bill Mollison is a practical visionary. For nearly two decades he has traveled the globe spreading the word about permaculture, the method of sustainable agriculture that he devised. Permaculture weaves together microclimate, annual and perennial plants, animals, soils, water management and human needs into intricately connected productive communities. Mollison has proved that even in the most difficult conditions permaculture empowers people to turn wastelands into food forests.”

Popcorn will be served! Please bring your own container.
