nourish: Cambridge Farmers’ Market

September 24, 2013 Posted by Nicole Ratajczak Undergraduate Work

Who doesn’t love food? Who doesn’t love FRESH food? Who doesn’t love LOCAL, FRESH food? Who doesn’t love DELICIOUS, LOCAL, FRESH food? No one, that’s who.

Get your sleep-deprived butts out of bed on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for the best selection of fresh fruits & vegetables (hand-picked, some organic, come from a 100km radius of the market), farm fresh eggs, meats, cold cuts, cheeses, European breads, jellies, jams, honey, coffee, pastries, and those cute knitted slippers with the pom-poms.

The Cambridge Farmer’s Market is located at 40 Dickson St, right beside Cambridge City Hall, and is open on:

  • Saturdays from 7am to 1pm
  • Wednesdays from 8am to 1pm (although the Wednesday market is seasonal. It begins in June and ends October 9th)

Your omelettes, sandwiches, and salads have yet to experience the beauty of local, fresh food. The market awaits your presence!

This week the BRIDGECast hosts get into discussions about how cheap fast food is quickly replacing the need in people to cook healthy. They also discuss the current state of feminism and how there are sub groups within feminism that are misrepresented and how that plays out in todays society, and they also discuss what the adult film industry has become and how it impacts people.
