Vikkie Chen will defend her thesis entitled Curating Architecture on Thursday December 18th at 9AM in the BRIDGE Pop-Up located at 60 Main St in Cambridge. The thesis endeavours to give a contemporary and expanded view on the theory and practice of curation and architectural research.
Continuing with Kitchener's initiative to establish urban design at the human scale and introduce contemporary building ideas, Tahoora Alimohammadi's thesis looks to expand work and living opportunities in the city center with the proposal of a new intermodal transit hub in the heart of that growing downtown core. This design proposal seeks to create an intimate relationship between public life, infrastructure and people. The defense will take place on on Thursday November 26, 2015 at 1:30pm in ARC 2003, University of Waterloo School of Architecture
Mathew Winter's thesis, Variations on a Theme of Deep Time: From Geology to Architecture draws a comparison between geology and architecture, to create an architecture of simultaneity. Everyone is welcome to attend his defence on Friday August 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM in ARC 2026.
