Welcome to the BRIDGE Waterloo Architecture podcast, also known as BRIDGECAST; this podcast is hosted by Brandon Mooi, Kelsey Malott, Jay Gill, and guest Kyle Brill.
This week the BRIDGECast hosts will talk about War and Terroism in light of the recent events in Paris and other parts of the world. Topics will focus around Syrian refugees and the idea of refugee smuggling into Western countries, the current state of the Middle East and its relationship with Western nations, the issue of spotlight on only a few affected countries and why we should pay more attention to other nations that have been affected like France, and lastly the cyclical nature of war.
We feel that it is important as students in a privileged country to inform ourselves and participate in discussions about the rest of the world. BRIDGECast was initiated for this very reason, to give students a forum to listen, discuss and converse about global topics and how they affect us and the larger population. If you would like to inform yourself further, we have our research below, and we encourage everybody to come out to tomorrows podcast.

We highly encourage everyone to come out and participate in our conversations. Even if you just want a change of scenery while you work or eat, you’re more than welcome to come and listen to us talk. We shoot every Tuesday from 9:30-10:30PM in the Bridge space and would thoroughly enjoy having everyone come out and join in on the conversation.
We also want to thank everyone that came out to tonight’s podcast and participated in our discussions.
The conversation reflects the ideas and perspectives of the individuals and are not necessarily the position taken by BRIDGE Centre for Architecture + Design as a collective.
