CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Land Marks Pecha Kucha

September 14, 2020 Posted by Jade Manbodh Alumni Work, Call for Submissions, Community, Exhibitions, Graduate Work, Undergraduate Work, Work

Land Marks is a community-centric art project that challenges us to consider our relationship with the land we live on through the marks we make, and the responses we receive. From fences to footpaths, contaminated to cultivated soil, each mark left tells an intricate environmental, social, and cultural story, describing our relationship not only with the natural world, but the people we share it with.

BRIDGE is seeking submissions of both completed and in-progress work that explores our relationship with the land are encouraged for a student Pecha Kucha. Students will have a maximum of 5 minutes and 15 slides to present their work. Projects that address themes of food sovereignty/security, wild/native plant growth, or embody any sort of reciprocal relationship between people and landscape are welcome and encouraged.

To get involved, visit land-marks.ca and fill out the form on our Student Pecha Kucha page by September 20th, 2020. Selected participants will be notified by September 24th, 2020.
