Cambridge Common: A Paradoxical Public Space is an exhibition of student work on display in the Cambridge City Hall atrium from May 31st – April 14th. The exhibition was designed and fabricated by Adrian Blackwell, Dan Jessel and Sarah Gunawan and features work by the 2A Design Studio course from the Fall of 2014
STUDENT WORK features Felix Yang’s 2A Studio project entitled A Platform for Observation which uses public space as a tool to attain self-awareness.
Alexandra Kay-Siu’s 2A studio project entitled PLAY-HOUSE draws inspiration from the unencumbered interactions of children. Her design for a community centre attempts to bring the people of Cambridge together by allowing freedom of movement and enabling public self-organization
