Tips From an Elder: Beach Volleyball

September 2, 2013 Posted by Danielle Gignac Uncategorized

BeaIMG_0832ch Volleyball. The closest thing in Galt to being on the beach. Bring your own water.

Five pristine, FREE, and often vacant beach volleyball courts, with nets set up and ready-to-use, await in the secluded glen of the Vineyard, a mere 25-minute walk from school (and an even faster bike ride).

The courts are generously open to the public courtesy of a private league on property owned by the Cambridge Vineyard Christian Fellowship, so please be considerate and keep it classy with attire and behaviour when you go.

Summer is not over yet: grab some friends, bring your own volleyball and make use of it!

The Cambridge Vineyard is located at 147 Elgin Street North.

Unwind – Fiber Arts Club

Jan 28, 2016

The Unwind Fiber Arts Club, originally called the UWSA Knitting Club, was started in Fall 2014 by a group of graduate students who shared a passion for knitting and an interest in learning new textile crafts and techniques. Unwind is currently looking to expand its knowledge of textile crafts and would love to learn more about the fiber talent at UWSA so if you have a skill that you'd like to share such as leather working, bookbinding, embroidery, etc. then we will use all of our resources and experience to help make your workshop happen!
