EVENT: Cards for James

January 22, 2018 Posted by Poorna Patange Community, Event

BRIDGE is hosting Cards for James, a card drive to celebrate the birthday of a local teenager with severe muscular dystrophy.

James Thoms-Martin turns 14 on February 6! He is a Cambridge teenager with Duchenne muscular dystrophy whose mother has put out a call for birthday cards from around the world.

There will be card-making supplies available in the Musagetes Library and undergraduate studio until February 2. That same evening, at Galt Love Night, the cards will be displayed at the BRIDGE Storefront. Cards can also be made that night.

Show your support for James and his mom by making his birthday special!

THESIS: House(Craft)

Dec 10, 2015

Katherine's thesis explores the opportunities provided by this concept of ownership and mobility. Individual units could become highly tuned to the person(s) occupying them – morphing each unit into an indispensable platform from which users occupy a city. This new concept of home would allow an increasingly mobile population to resituate with ease – finally reconstituting home with our wandering lifestyle. She will defend her thesis on Wednesday December 16th, 2015 at 10 AM in ARC 1001 [Cummings Lecture Theatre].
