In her thesis ‘[in]formal Pattern Language’, Nada Nafeh questions the role of the architect in self-organized communities and informal settlements of Cairo. Her thesis analyses patterns accumulated through an open-source website, a workshop with children and an exhibition on site. She will be defending her thesis on Octorber 23rd, 2015 at 12:00 pm in ARC 2026.
There is an exhibition happening tomorrow in the BRIDGE Centre for Architecture + Design showcasing spatial constructions of 20th century abstract paintings along with selected drawings from the current first year design studio class. The University of Waterloo School of Architecture will host the first of the series of lectures sponsored by Arriscraft on Thursday Oct 22 at 7pm at the Lawrence Cummings lecture hall.
