Recognizing Student Achievement at the 2014 Awards Banquet

April 26, 2014 Posted by Laura Di Fiore Community, Event, Graduate Work, Undergraduate Work, Work

The annual awards banquet is a time to highlight the successes of our many students and recognize all their hard work and achievement. The faculty awards certain candidates from our current undergraduates, off-term undergrads, master’s students, and recent alumni awards in all disciplines – from design, technology, academic standing, and cultural history to thesis work and exemplary contributions to the school.  A special note of recognition from Rick Haldenby highlighted Andrea Hunniford‘s admirable and extensive contributions to the studio culture and student community throughout her undergrad and graduate degrees by implementing various collectives and initiatives.

After a fast-paced semester, the banquet serves as a time to slow down and reflect on the accomplishments within the past years as well as share a meal with peers and teachers. Attendees enjoyed a catered dinner buffet by Bombay Grill as well as other potluck dishes.  A special thank you to the awards committee, John McMinn and Ryszard Sliwka; WASA for providing the set up and dinner for the event; and SWAG for their monetary contribution.

Congratulations to all the awards recipients:
